The Catawba Valley Gem and Mineral Club’s Purpose
Increase knowledge of the earth sciences
Hold exhibitions, field trips, contests and lectures

For less than a couple bucks a month, you and your entire family can take advantage of the many benefits the club has to offer, including exclusive access to certain rockhounding locations, fellowship at monthly meetings and participation at other club events, such as the annual rock and gem show. To qualify to join, all you have to do is attend two monthly meetings, complete an application form and pay the modest dues! Check out the meeting site information on the home page for when and where meetings are held.
We believe participation by quality members and not just numbers is what makes a club successful. This is the reason why the CVGMC requires attendance at two monthly meetings in order for newcomers to join. So, if you are good person who opts for quality over quantity, the CVGMC is for you.
